PRE-DEPARTURE

Nihongo Class
Selected Applicants must attend a three month preparatory class of grammar and writing lessons of Japanese communication skills (including remedial class) as pre-requisite before training to Japan. This course will be the guide to Japanese Language Education prior to dispatch. The trainee will be taught the basics of living, daily life, training, safety, and health & work in Japan. Handling the education and giving basic Japanese language training is Ms. Maricel Recinto, a teacher and is now in-charge of the language education of STEP Foundation.

Work Ethics
A three-day seminar, one of the pre-requisites for the transfer technology program by TESDA (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority) before the departure of selected trainees to Japan.

The seminar in work ethics plays a big role in helping the trainee to be more efficient and more competent towards their training. It contributes a lot in terms of attitude, way of thinking, values, and etiquettes of people in the designated country.

The seminar occasionally held at the training office of the sending organization or depending upon the agreement of the accredited mentor and the President of the Sending Organization.

Visa Application
As soon as the trainee's certificate of eligibility has been released, the Foundation prepares and assists the trainees before and during the application of their visa.

Nihongo Class Graduation & Contract Signing
This is like an acquaintance gathering where the foundation gets a chance to meet the trainees' families. During the event, trainees with good evaluation in nihongo class will be acknowledged. There will also be an orientation/briefing to the family regarding conditions during the training period of their relatives and other important details to remember. Contract signing is the agreement regarding training between the Sending Organization and the trainee and his guarantors.

PDOS (Pre-Departure Orientation / Seminar)
This is the last requirement to comply with in lieu of successful trainees' departure. The trainees will be informed about the importance of Training Program under STTP TESDA-JITCO SCHEME. They will discuss the consequences they will be able to encounter in Japan as well as giving them advices on how to make themselves an asset not a liability to the program. They will be informed also regarding the Transfer Technology Program wherein after their arrival to the Philippines, what should be the contributions they will attribute in connection of their achievements in Japan as trainee. Since the program is about the transferring of technology from Japan to Philippines.
