PRE-EVALUATION

To fetch a better understanding of the objectives of STEP, it coordinated with TESDA and JITCO regarding its role in the Technology Transfer Project. It will only facilitate the better selection and matching of skills and training requirements. STEP conducts preliminary selection and evaluation of trainee candidates. A thorough investigation of individual backgound, test of skills and the quality of ones character are very important points in the nomination of candidates for selection by Accepting Companies.

An inquisition may be conducted on applicants selected for training. The purpose of such is to secure evidence of the candidate's honesty, integrity and general character. This will determine if he will be suitable to join the training program.

The candidates are being requested to undergo preliminary Japanese language training course prior to interview by Japanese Accepting Companies. In this way, companies will not find it hard to communicate with the applicants. An overview of the Japanese culture and values of work is being given to each trainee. The importance and real meaning of the training program is presented. Various tests, examinations, and evaluations are being applied in order to get onlyknowledgeable and dedicated trainees.
